The
architect incorporated two levels of wide stone bands. The top
band, made of upper and lower stones were very similar, where
as the upper portion over hangs the lower by 1 creating
the three dimensional look. The lower band of the building (also
made of an upper and lower stones) was different. The upper
band incorporated an architectural detail, creating a sense
of a capital over a plain band - similar to the top band of
the building. The window surrounds, which truly distinguish
this buildings' face, especially the lintels with a cutout in
a radius top where a traditional keystone usually is placed.
